June Meeting Highlights

Our June meeting is the third group forum of NPAMC participants, and builds on the collective discussions gleaned from the preceding meetings toward developing programs to attack the problem of alcohol misuse and crime in our country.

This meeting will focus on the vital role of treatment in alcohol offender management programs, and our agenda will be divided into three phases:

  • Reviewing the consensus statements on screening and assessment from the January meeting
  • Hearing from our presenters – including several who are renowned for the expertise in the treatment area – about the latest information on treating offenders
  • Participating in round table discussions and draft consensus statements reflecting the sense of the group on relevant policy issues including:
    • Who should be treated
    • When treatment should occur
    • What treatments should be considered
